I spent a couple of days at the Cobb & Co. Museum in Toowoomba, Queensland documenting The Lost Trades Fair. The fair travels around Australia showcasing the crafting techniques of a bygone era. I set up a makeshift studio and asked these talented men and women to sit for a portrait. Since their tools were so closely linked to their craft, I wanted them to bring along their favourite/ most used tool. This created some wonderful portrait diptychs that showcased not only the human talent, but the implement they harnessed.
