I spend around two hours each way on the highway getting to and from shoots. It’s a space that sits somewhere between preparation and release, a time to think, reset, or just let the day settle. Like I would imagine most long drives are for others, it’s filled with new music, old music, true crime podcasts, or just my own thoughts. But it’s also become an opportunity to document the journey itself. I keep a camera in my car, and sometimes I have time to stop and photograph something that catches my eye, and other times I just snap something as I pass by. Whatever the case may be, this collection of images is an ongoing record of that commute, one that continues to evolve with every trip.
